For the want of a nail...
|
There is an old nursery rhyme that goes 'for the want of a nail a shoe was lost, for the want of a shoe a horse was lost'. It continues with the loss of a rider, a battle, a war, etc. This is a serious and deadly chain of events all set in motion by a low level failure. The troop commander immediately notices the loss of the rider but most likely has little clue about the underlying cause of the problem. But the symptom is very clear to him. Wright Government Services focuses on assessing issues and finding and fixing the root cause not simply describing and treating symptoms.
Our focus is on ensuring increased readiness and organizational performance in anything we do. In terms of our strategic partnership with Oceana Sensor and TotalWebHost.com we bring expertise in Web Based Training, Web design and hosting, programming, data management, co-location, data back up, network analysis, distance learning, technical measurements, sensor platforms, WiFi sensors and a unique array of reporting and assessment tools that focus on intelligence driven "just in time" maintenance solutions whether that applies to an individual piece of equipment or an entire weapon system. Our sensor and reporting tools are the ideal match for the growing emphasis on condition based maintenance whether that is in the military environment or commercial sector.
We recognize that there are three basic strategies to keep equipment and systems operationally ready and at peak performance:
React... Try to fix things quickly after they break. This is obviously a non-starter for any organization that has even the bare minimum of performance goals.
Preventive... Identify key components and put them on a strict training and preventive maintenance schedule that may include greasing, changing oil or filters, various forms of tune-ups and time-driven more expansive and in-depth checks and overhaul. This is a time honored and effective strategy. The question is, is this the most cost, time and performance effective method available? Have we identified the right components in our preventive schedule? All of them? Is our schedule correct? Are we still not maintaining enough? Too much? We describe this strategy as "just in case". It is certainly a good strategy but is there more we can and should do?
Condition-based... This method recognizes that training and application of critical thinking and focus on the operating conditions impact equipment performance over time and that the addition of unique empirical information on actual system performance is a key and critical part of modern maintenance strategy. WGS-LLC can deliver the training and sensors you need to improve both the operational and cost effectiveness of your maintenance program and can work with you to build a Wireless e-Diagnostics ® reporting network, utilizing WiFi, Bluetooth® or other wireless protocol, matched with the tailored software to meet your unique situation. Whether the measurement is based on vibration, temperature, pressure, light, optics and now even structural integrity based on our emerging ultrasonics capabilities, WGS -LLCcan work with you to develop cost effective solutions that will materially increase your operational performance.
You know your symptoms, we'll help you find and eliminate the causes and train your employees to understand the core basics of CBM (Condition Based Maintenance). You don't want to be caught short for 'the want of a nail' and put the commander, battle and war at risk. We can help, but only on the condition that you contact us. The sooner the better!
Training... The cornerstone of any successful implementation of a process, procedure or system. Whether that training is for weapons, weapons systems, condition based maintenance "CBM" of those assets, the need is clear, web based is the most flexible and distributive way to reach the most poeple for the lowest cost. Wright Government Systems has the answer with it's open system architecture based training platform that uses "SCORM" compliant modules for the training material!
